During the initial phase of the pandemic a lot of fake news was shared through different digital platforms. It was a tedious task for Kerala Police to prevent such fake news and spread authentic information pertaining to COVID-19, lockdown and the need for staying safe through social distancing. So, we extend our support to the Police department to disseminate the right information for the public.
To prevent the spread of fake news related to COVID-19 and ensure that relevant news, information and updates reach the public to increase their awareness of the pandemic and to help them stay safe through the proper use of mask, hand wash, sanitizers and social distancing without losing their morale during the pandemic.
The execution of the campaign by countering all the fake news and spreading the reliable information among all the Keralites through digital channels was a true challenge.
Reproducing original contents from Kerala Police’s online pages and reinforcing the relevance of lockdown and the need to stay safe by taking proper measures among all age groups using creative and compelling ways and techniques was difficult.
The key goal was to reach out to the public in Kerala in order to spread accurate information about the pandemic and the safety measures to be taken. We collaborated with Kerala Police to create genuine content to spread awareness among the Keralites so that they won’t fall prey to the fake news. We successfully executed a very technically challenging approach to sideline the fake news and increase the visibility of reliable updates. Creative and unique yet easy to understand contents were created and shared through online campaigns and ads on Facebook, YouTube and Google Display Network.
The information reached over 1crore+ people through campaigns and ads, and we successfully shared adequate information to the public as instructed by the Kerala Police.
